When I'm singing the blues, I'm singing life.” - - Etta James

About

Born in Devon, UK Emily had a diverse taste and love of music from a young age, inspired by her grandparents love for the 'old show tunes' she quickly became enamoured with the world of Music and Theatre, her father a life long hobby musician and live music lover with classic rock in his veins recalled fondly discovering Emily around five years old jumping manically up and down on her bed to the dulcet tones of Deep purple. over the years she has developed a ecelectic taste and is a fan of anything that 'tells a good story" and voices that sound like they from their soul. She credits Ella Fitzgeald, Pink, Freddie Mercury, John Bon Jovi, Adele, Lea Salonga and Barbara Streisand as some of her biggest vocal inspirations.

Emily was performing from as young as six years old. Starting out in a church choir she progressed into singing in Jazz & Soul bands and performing in musical theatre and studied music performance.

Having learnt the hard way that none of us are guaranteed the luxury of time she has been pursuing her music and the joy and connection to her soul it brings with more intensity in the last few years culminating in her recent cover single release 'In Case You Don't Live Forever' recorded at momentum studios and streaming now via Spotify and multiple other platforms.
